For our patients who live abroad, we manage the remote follow-up process as smoothly as possible. After surgery, you must be physically present for one critical check-up; the rest of the follow-up is carried out through video calls and photo sharing.
🏥 In-Person Attendance Required
5th–7th Day (ideally 7 days, at least 5 days): At this single check-up, the silicone nasal splint and the cast are removed together, a general examination is done and, if appropriate, a "fit to fly" report is issued.
📱 Can Be Done Remotely
2nd Week, 6th Week, 3rd Month, 6th Month, 12th Month: The assessment is done with photos + a WhatsApp message or a video call. If there is no problem, a clinic visit is not needed.
How Does Follow-Up via WhatsApp Work?
After surgery, you stay in touch with our clinic via WhatsApp. By sharing photos you take in natural light from the front, the side and below, you can have your condition assessed. In urgent situations, a video call is arranged.
“Can I have the first check-up done in my own country?”
Do not think of the first check-up as simply having some things removed from your nose; this check-up is part of the surgery. We check whether the procedures performed during surgery are healing correctly, and I also give you the devices to be used in your nostrils (nostril retainers) at this check-up. For this reason, I do not consider a check-up by another doctor appropriate.
Important Practical Information: Plan to spend the first 5–7 days near the clinic (in a hotel, etc.). Once the check-up is complete, you can return to your country. In an emergency, we recommend that you contact a local ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist in the country you are in and pass the result on to us.
