📷 How should I take and send my photos for a follow-up check?

⚡

Using your phone's rear (main) camera, in daylight, take four photos from about 1 meter away: from the front, from the right, from the left and from below. If possible, have someone else take them; the tape and retainer should be removed.

Without a photo or video, it is not possible for us to make an accurate assessment from a description alone. In a selfie, the angle and resolution of the front camera make the nose look different from how it really is; right and left also get mixed up.

Four angles for follow-up photos: front, right, left and from below (underside of the nose)

Rules
  • The phone's main camera, not the front camera. Have someone else take the photos; if you are alone, stand in front of a mirror and take them with the main camera.
  • About 1 meter away, in daylight, in a room that is not dark. Do not zoom in; the photo should be sharp.
  • Only your face should be in the picture.
  • In the front view, both ears should look equal; only then can right and left be compared.
  • Four angles: front, right, left and from below (underside of the nose).
  • The tape and retainer should be removed. If you like, add a photo with the tape on as well.
  • If a concern becomes more noticeable at a certain time of day, take the photo at that time.
  • For situations involving movement, such as an appearance that changes when you smile or whether you are doing the massage correctly, add a short video.
  • In your message, write which side (right/left) you mean.
🗓️
When?

According to your routine follow-up schedule: 1st week, 2nd week, 1.5 months, 3rd month, 6th month, 1st and 2nd year (follow-up process). If you can come, an in-person check-up; if you cannot, photos and video.

Surgeon's note

“For follow-ups, our rule is always this: if you can come, an in-person check-up; if you cannot, photos and video sent remotely.”
