🚨 In which situations should I message my doctor right away or come to the hospital?

⚡

Bleeding that does not stop despite precautions or that spurts, difficulty breathing, foul-smelling or yellow-green discharge, swelling that increases day by day, and pain that increases when touched: in these cases, message us without waiting.

🚨
Message right away
  • Persistent, increasing or spurting bleeding (bleeding in the first days).
  • Difficulty breathing, a feeling of tightness in the chest; a chest X-ray is requested if needed. If it is only mild pain on deep breathing and a cough, it usually passes; drink plenty of water.
  • Signs of infection: foul-smelling or yellow-green discharge, increasing swelling, pain that increases when touched.
  • Your nose looking crooked after a blow (a blow after surgery).
✅
What is normal
  • Your nose being completely blocked in the first days.
  • Oozing-type bleeding and blood-tinged discharge.
  • Facial swelling that increases for the first 3 days and then starts to go down.
  • Crusting inside the nose and on the stitches.
  • Feeling hot or feverish at night: it may be due to the effect of the anesthesia. Take your temperature and trust the measurement.
🩸
Prolonged fatigue

If your blood test shows a high infection marker, other possible sources besides the nose, such as the urinary tract or the lungs, should also be investigated. See an internal medicine specialist (internist) and share the result with us.

How to message: Via WhatsApp, with a photo or video (how to take photos?). Response times: medical questions.
